Protecting undocumented children: promising policies and practices from governments

Many laws exist in Europe, such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child of the Charter on Social Rights, to protect the migrant children, but they are continuously violated. Even though protection frames exist for some groups of migrant children, such as asylum seekers, unaccompanied foreign children or children victims of human trafficking, these rights are generally not protected. There are no reliable estimations on how many undocumented children are in Europe, which worsen even more the lack of attention on their protection. This report intends to highlights the fundamental rights of the migrants (education, health, protection and justice).
