Our mission

DCI-Belgium’s mission is to protect and defend the rights of the child, both in Belgium and abroad, in collaboration with the national sections of the Movement and it’s partners around the world.

1) To advance, protect and defend the rights of the child in all areas, especially those which are stated in international declarations and instruments, including the Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN, 1989) and its additional protocols.

2) Ensure that children receive the best level of protection and defense that they can benefit from in Belgium, especially those belonging to the most disadvantaged social environments.

3) To stimulate a social climate of solidarity and democracy, promoting education rights and particularly the rights of the child.
